Small Grants for Neighborhood Projects!
Are you a neighborhood association or grassroots group doing great work in your community, but a little short on funds?
Neighbors for Better Neighborhoods (NBN) offers small grants to Winston-Salem/Forsyth County neighborhood groups whose projects need a small boost.
The goal of NBN's small grants program is to support "place-based" community projects that involve neighbors working for resident-led community change! This grant is not for events, but is available for groups who are interested in building connections amongst residents and creating innovative resident-led soulutions to neighborhood issues.
NBN's Small Grants program offers grants ranging from $100-$5000.
Please note
In order to be eligible for a grant, applicants must attend a NBN Monday Night Interest Meeting, scheduled for the 1st Monday of every month from 6pm-7pm, at our NBN office located at 502 N. Broad Street in the Augsburg Community Center (lower level entrance). The session will explain the grant application, requirements, and answer any additional questions you may have about eligiblity and how to apply.
Some examples of grants awarded:
Sineage for a neighborhood marketplace, surveys for residents working on neighborhood entrepreneurship, materials for a neighborhood association aftershcool program and b-lingual parent education program, neighborhood beautification, neighborhood association leader training, and much, much more!
